Day 01 - Cochin
On arrival at Cochin, meet our representative. Later proceed to the hotel. Day free for shopping or own
activities. Evening, enjoy a fusion of traditional dance forms of Kerala at a cultural center in Cochin.
Overnight at the hotel.
Cochin has Asia's best preserve Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the oldest European Church in India - the St. Francis
Church. A leisurely walk through the Fort Cochin area which gives you a close look at the operation of the huge
cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, low flying turns and black kites, if lucky you can spot dolphins in the estuary.
Day 02 – Cochin
Morning, after breakfast, proceed for a village backwater Cruise with lunch. Afternoon back to
Cochin. Afternoon enjoy the sightseeing of Cochin. Overnight at the Hotel.
Village backwater Cruise - A four hour journey in a country boat into the pristine purity of a typical village backwater of
Kerala.... goes through the zigzagging narrow canals and paddy fields fringed with coconut palms.....watch rare
birds....country boat making....a natural fish farm where you can go fishing… Cochin Sightseeing - St Francis Church,
built in 1510 by friars brought to India by Vasco da Gama, is the first European church built in India and is the site where
Vasco da Gama was buried. The Jewish Synagogue was built in 1568, Chinese hand-painted tiles are one of the attraction.
This, the only Synagogue in India has a nostalgic past of a Jewish Diaspora. The "Dutch Palace" was built in the 1550s;
the palace contains excellent mythological murals and a rare example of traditional Keralite flooring - a subtle mix of burnt
coconut shells, lime, plant juices and egg whites - which gives the effect of polished marble.
DAY 03 – KUMARAKOM
Morning, drive to Kumarakom, an enchanting backwater destination. Overnight stay at a backwater
resort at Kumarakom.
The enchanting backwater destination of Kumarakom is a small village that is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad
Lake in Kerala. It is part of the Kuttanad region, and the bird sanctuary here spread across 14 acres of any ornithologist's
paradise.
DAY 04 – HOUSEBOAT
Enjoy your breakfast at the resort. By noon the Houseboat will pick you up from the resort jetty.
Explore the amazing backwater life of Kerala! Enjoy your Lunch & Dinner on board. Overnight stay
at the boat.
What is truly magical about a houseboat ride is the breathtaking view of the untouched and otherwise inaccessible rural
Kerala that it offers. The houseboats have all the creature comforts of a good hotel including furnished bedrooms, modern
toilets, cozy living rooms, a kitchen and even a balcony for angling. Meals would be cooked on board and supplemented
with fresh fish from the backwaters. Today, the tradition is still continued and the food from the local cuisine is served by
the Kuttanad localities, on board.
Day 05 – Cheruthuruthy
Morning, disembark from the houseboat & proceed to Cheruthuruthy to experience the cultural
extravaganza of Kerala. Enroute, visit Punnathur Kotta, the elephant camp. On arrival, check in at the
hotel. Day free to explore the place. Overnight at the Hotel.
Cheruthuruthy, a small serene village is gradually making a prominent place for itself in the Kerala tourism map. It is
visited by a large number of tourists not only because of its picturesque landscape but also because of the Kerala
Kalamandalam. Most of them are interested in witnessing the place which has preserved and nurtured the Kathakali dance
form. The Kerala Kalamandalam is located here on the banks of the Bharathappuzha River. Surely there could not be a
better place to set up this prestigious institution. The gently rolling lands covered with lush green carpets and the tranquil
flow of the river combine to create this strikingly expressive village.
Day 06 – Cheruthuruthy
Visit Kerala Kalamandalam to attend “day with the masters’ a programme to experience the real art
forms of Kerala. Overnight at the Hotel in Cheruthuruthy.
A Tour to Kalamandalam will give you the chance to witness the rigorous training sessions of the students who aspire to
master the various art forms like Kathakali, Mohiniattam, Koodiyattam, Panchavadyam, Thullal etc. Another interesting
feature is that students from all religions are given admission to this prestigious institution. The ambience is indeed simple,
pure and yet ethereal.
Day 07 – Kappad Beach (Calicut)
After breakfast, procced to Kappad Beach in Calicut. Day free for own activities. Overnight at
Kappad Beach Resort.
Kappad, 16 kms from Calicut, known as the gateway to the Malabar Coast, as on 27th of May 1498, 170 men led by the
Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama sailed in and stepped into Kerala to create a new chapter in history…the story of a
long and tumultuous socio-political relationship between India and Europe. Kappad has witnessed many such landings.
Kozhikode was then the most important trade center of the Malabar region and the Zamorins who ruled this mighty land
were powerful and shrewd.

Day 08 – Kappad Beach (Calicut)
Full day free at Kappad Beach. Visit of local places for sightseeing. Overnight at the resort.
A stone monument is there on the beach to commemorate the historic event of Vasco Da Gama’s arrival. For the people of
Kozhikode, this pleasant stretch of rock-studded beach is Kappakkadavu and to the tourists, this pristine beach is one of the
most charming of Kerala's beaches. The sea here is placid and seemingly untouched by history or time. A temple, believed
to be more than 800 years old, is located on the rock adjacent to the resort.
Day 09 – Thalassery
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Thalassery. On arrival check in at Ayesha Manzil (Homestay).
Experience the authentic Malabari Cuisine. Overnight at the resort.
Thalassery - an old city in Kannur district of Kerala is one of the attractive places for history loving people. It is 21 km
distant from district headquarter at Kannur. The place is decked with four rivers, hills, cliffs and long coast line. It was an
important trade centre during the British rule. Malabari Cuisine - The northern parts of Kerala specialize in Malabar
Cuisine, which is noted for its liberal use of a wide variety of spices. Malabar cuisine, with its enchanting array of fish and
meat delicacies, is a wonderful reminder of the foreign influence on India’s southwest coast. The long stretch of coastline
and the rich marine life ensure that seafood, coconut and spices are an integral part of Malabar cuisine.
Day 10 – Kannur
Morning, drive to Kairali Resorts, Kannur. Day free for local visit. Overnight at the resort.
Kannur is a land with a resonant past. Myths and legends abound. The ships of Solomon, they say anchored along our
coasts to collect timber for building the ‘Temple of the Lord’. Kannur finds mention as NAURA in the ‘Periplus of the
Erithrean Sea’ a Greek work of great antiquity. Kannur has been since olden days, the cradle of ageless folk art and music.
Even today, the myriads of Kavus (small shrines) which dot the district are centers of the Theyyam, a ritual dance in which
men impersonate supernatural beings and indeed elevate Kannur to a land of fabulous fantasies.
Day 11 – Mangalore
After breakfast, drive to Mangalore. Enroute visit Bekal Fort. On arrival check in at Taj Manjarun.
Day free for leisure. Overnight at the resort.
Mangalore - famous for its beautiful, exotic, lustrous and virgin beaches and rightly so known as the ‘entry point to
Beach Country'. The famous beaches here include Ullal Beach attracting tourists all through the year. Another important
beach here is Karwar Beach with gentle waves and picturesque blue water of the Arabian Sea it can be a perfect holiday
destination providing fascinating experience for all the beach lovers. Bekal Fort – A foremost souvenir of 'Gods own
Country' remains undeterred over the ages as a silent witness to centuries of eventful yester years. The Bekal Fort has been
a source of attraction for historians, tourists and nature - lovers for centuries since it embodies memories of a glorious past.
Day 12 – Mangalore
Full day free for local visit and shopping. Overnight at the resort.
Visit - Pilikula Nisargadhama, an integrated science and nature theme park; Sri Krishna Temple, Udupi, a holi shrine
which attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over India every year; 1000 Pillar Basadi, s holy shrine of the jains, this is
dedicated to Shri Chandrakanth, a jaint saint. The temple is intricately carved and has architecture that is peculiar to Nepal.
Enjoy the Sunset cruises on the Netravathi River and Arabian sea waterfront.
Day 13 – Coorg
Morning, drive to Coorg. On arrival, check in at Club Mahindra Resort. Day free for leisure.
Overnight at the resort.
Ideally nestled in the lap of nature, Coorg is one of the most breathtaking hill stations in the southern state of Karnataka,
India. Flanked with misty hills, serene valleys, aromatic coffee estates and sprawling landscaped greenery, Coorg is truly a
vacationer’s paradise.
Day 14 – Coorg
Full day free for local visit and shopping. Overnight at the resort.
Coorg has many tourist places and attractions to offer to its visitors. In the center of the town is the Madikeri Fort, which
was built in the 19th century and has a small museum. There is a palace and a prison in the fort. The Omkareshwara
Temple, constructed in 1820 by the ruling King of Coorg, is known for the blend of architectural features of Islamic and
Gothic style. The river Cauvery meets rivers Sujyothi and Kannike at this place. Abbi Falls or the Jessey Falls is 5 km
from Coorg. One can easily view the greenery of the Western Ghats from this place.
Day 15 – Mysore
Morning, after breakfast drive to Mysore. Enroute visiting Srirangapatanam. On arrival check in to
the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Srirangapatanam - the island fortress of the legendary warrior, Tipu Sultan. Inside the fortress is Tipu's mosque with its
twin minarets, the celebrated Ranganatha Swami temple, the Wellesley Bridge and the dungeons where British officers
were once imprisoned. On arrival at Mysore check in hotel and relax leisurely. Mysore -is one of the major cities of
Karnataka. Mysore is a vibrant city teeming with tourists and visitors. It is known the world over for its exotic sandalwood
and rich silks.
Day 16 – Mysore
Day free to explore the royal remnants of Mysore. Overnight at the Hotel.
Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and Saracenic styles
of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive
up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple & a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull.
Day 17 – Hassan
After breakfast drive to Hassan; Enroute visiting Shravanabelagola. On arrival, check in at the Hotel.
Overnight at the Hotel.
Shravanabelagola - Wedged between two stark rocky hills, this legendary pilgrim center and shrine of the Jains since early
times. The monolithic statue of Lord Gomateshwara, a Jain saint and an object of worship for centuries, standing atop one
of the hills, is 18 meters high and is said to be one of the tallest and most graceful monolithic statues in the world. The
symmetry in stone was created around 978 AD. The Mahamastakabisheka festival, an elaborate ritual, held here once every
12 years, the last one in February 2006, attracts devotees from all over the world.
Day 18 – Hassan
Day free to visit Belur & Halebid temples. Overnight at the Hotel.
The temples at Belur and Halebid, which remained incomplete despite 80 years of labor, are offerings of the finest
workmanship in stone to the gods. The elaborate sculptured decoration on the temple, according to some critics, is even
better than the Friezes at Konark in Orissa and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. The Temple at Halebid is still used for
worship today. Overnight at Hassan.
Day 19 – Bangalore
Morning, proceed to Bangalore, ‘the Garden City’. On arrival check in at the Hotel. Day free for sight
seeing. Overnight at the Hotel.
Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka. With its salubrious climate, its tree-lined avenues, its trendy, yuppy downtown, and
the software flood, Bangalore truly offers one a picture of striking contrasts. Bangalore today is Asia's fastest growing
cosmopolitan city. The Vidhan Soudha makes the major attraction in Bangalore. The building is a massive neo-Dravidian
architecture presently functioning as the state legislative assembly.
Day 20 – Departure
With lovely memoirs of this land, you will be transferred to Airport to connect your flight to home
